Christ Episcopal Church Shared Ministry Team
Since January 2010, Christ Church has been a Shared Ministry Parish. For 3+ years 10 individuals called up by the parish studied under the leadership of Fr. Ken Toven. The individuals on the Shared Ministry team have accepted the call to perform functions needed in a parish to address certain spiritual and worship need.
Shared Ministry is a way of enabling the ministry of all the baptized, based on the theology of baptism, where each baptized Christian is called to use their God-given gifts of ministry.
The Team has been ordained and commissioned by the Bishop to provide spiritual leadership t the parish. Their role is to involve as many members of the congregation as possible in various forms of ministry to further God’s word.
At Christ Church individual members of the team have specialized to perform in the roles of priest, deacon, pastoral care, liturgist, stewardship, preacher, catechist, coordinator, evangelist, Christian education coordinator, and youth leader. Fr. Ken Toven is the Parish Mentor.
Everyone is invited to share their gifts at Christ Church.
